This policy explains what information ClockNow (clocknow.live) collects when you use the site and how it is used.
Information stored in your browser
ClockNow saves your settings – such as 12/24-hour format, light or dark theme, temperature unit and any alarms you set – in your own browser using local storage. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser data for this site.
Location and weather
To show weather, ClockNow estimates a nearby city from your time zone. If you choose to tap the location button, your browser asks for permission to share your location; it is rounded and saved only in your browser. To get the weather for any city, your browser sends rounded coordinates (about 10 km precision) to our server, which requests the forecast from Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com) and keeps the result for up to an hour. We do not store your location or link it to you.
Clock accuracy check
When the page loads, your browser makes a small request to our server to read the current server time several times. This is used only to measure how far your device clock is off and to show you the corrected time.
Advertising and cookies
ClockNow may show ads served by Google and its partners. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or learn more at aboutads.info.
Analytics
We may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are visited and roughly where visitors come from. This information is collected in aggregate and does not identify you personally.
Server logs
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records standard information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and performance purposes.
Children
ClockNow is a general-audience site and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
